My name is Richelle Gamlam and I am a recent grad of the George Washington University, where I studied International Affairs, Anthropology and Chinese. I started writing this blog to document my study abroad experience in Beijing and Xi’an as well as my travels throughout Asia. Embarking on my study abroad adventure, I had no idea how much living and studying in China would impact my life. Less than a year later, I returned to China where I have a job teaching oral English at a rural high school in Ningbo, Zhejiang. I currently live on a factory-lined highway in the middle of nowhere with no foreigners around me for miles. Read along and have a laugh as I share my ridiculous adventures around Asia!
If you enjoy my crazy stories and misadventures, please feel free to subscribe for email updates by clicking the link at the bottom of this page.
Also, please check out my photography blog Richelle Gamlam Photography, which includes photos from my travels around Asia, as well as many of the other photos I have taken on trips around the world and right at home in Seattle and Washington DC.
If you would like to get in touch with me, please feel free to contact me at rgamlam@gwu.edu!
China is definitely where the world is going, enjoy it.
